ANZ NetSetGO! Frequently Asked Questions

Q: My child has never played Netball before. Will they be able to keep up with the other children?
A: Yes. The ANZ NetSetGO! program is an introductory netball program and caters for all individuals no matter what their level of skill.

Q: Who runs ANZ NetSetGO!?
A: Netball Queensland coordinate ANZ NetSetGO! in Queensland. The program is operated through schools or coordinated by Netball Queensland Associations/Clubs at their courts. The Centre Coach is required to be a an accredited netball coach.

Q: What should particpants wear?
A: Suitable clothing – shirts, shorts, skirts, sneakers. If outside, hats are encouraged.

Q: Can anyone play?
A: ANZ NetSetGO! is open to all 5 – 10 year old girls and boys, however it is designed as an introductory program.


Q: How do I make sure my child definitely has a place in the program?
A: Ensure that you register your child with payment before the start of the program.  Some centres are limited on the numbers that they can take for the program so ensure that you register prior to the starting week of the program.

Q: What does my child receive for the registration fee?
A: The price of the program covers the participant pack, administration and insurance fees.  The participant fee varies at centres mainly due to programs varying in duration.   The 2013 participant pack includes a Sportsbag, Gilbert size x4 netball and a barbie loves netball t-shirt supplied by support partner Mattel.   

Q: What happens when ANZ NetSetGO! finishes?
A: Participants have the opportunity to sign up for regular netball fixtures with their local Association. Please contact your local Association for information regarding fixtures.
