Intermediate Coaching Course
Pre-Requisites
Age 16 years (minimum)
Netball Queensland membership (registration available during course)
Completion of Intermediate Coaching General Principles
Completion of a Netball Australia Development Coaching Course
Coaches must have had at least one (1) year/season coaching experience after completion of the Netball Australia Development Coaching Course. Special permission may be obtained for exemption from fulfilling the practical experience requirement for entry into the course by:
Netball playing background
– Open State/Territory or ANZ Team player who has coached a netball team for a season within the last 2-3 years Netball coaching background
– coached a team for a minimum of one (1) year/season at association representative level (age 14 years or above) within the last 2 years.

8 hours
Attendance Requirements
100% attendance
Successful completion of all components
Active participation in practical demonstrations, work groups
Participants must be assessed as competent
Assessment
To successful attain the Intermediate Course Accreditation the participant must be rated competent on all aspects of the performance criteria outlined in the Assessment Form.
Participants may present the practical coaching task as many times as necessary to meet the requirements of the assessment task, although all assessment tasks related to the course must be completed within 12 months of commencement otherwise the entire course will have to be completed again.
